1. You spend a lot of time getting rejected at auditions/journals
2. Your pedigree is important
3. The more you publish/star in movies, the more opportunities you have in the future
4. People want your political opinions even though you are grossly unqualified
5. While it's possible to make a career out of one major performance, constantly working is the normal way to be successful
6. Career awards like Oscars/JBC and the lifetime achievement award/Nobel is mostly politics but we'd all love to get one
