Economist on "By the end, Daron Acemoglu..."

By the end, Daron Acemoglu would have done 3-4 lifetimes' worth of Economics research. About 100 papers at the current age of 48, that is already 1-1.5 lifetimes' worth of research. Another 100-150 papers will be added by the age of 75-80. He certainly is one of the most prolific researchers in human history. Someone like Erdos comes to mind.
Out of the 200 odd papers at least 100 papers would be "Top Five". If one were to write down the most insightful sentences/ideas, could one write those down in a few paragraphs or would one require to read hundreds of pages of his research to understand the "superstructure" he is trying to build?
As Robert De Niro's friend told him: he is good. Acemoglu is very good! But to what end?
