It is not an organization for economists. It is controlled by dirty pig Anh Ngoc Tran, a public policy graduate, and now works in SPEA, Indiana University, i.e., a politician pig both by training and career, not economist.
The pig Anh Tran studied at HSK thanks to his previous job in Vietnamese President Office. Though Le Van Cuong is president of ISVE, Anh Tran is in executive board of the organization, managing the website of ISVE and receiving applications to this organization. There is a voting system but Anh Tran controls this system as well. (There is a suspicion that, he sends invitation letters only to those he has good relationship with and discourages young talent economists, especially those in the United States to join the executive board by many ways. In facts, the first election didn’t have enough candidates so that those people who introduce themselves can be joint the executive board. Only one guy come from an US economic institution is in the board now. By this way, Anh Tran can maintain his position in the board).
Being a politician pig, but Anh Tran want to control economics field in Vietnam. He was the main organizer at the Vietnam event at AEA meeting early this year, and will be the main organizer at the next Vietnam event, in AEA meeting, January 2015.

This dirty pig now is visiting HKS thanks to an introduction of SPEA, Indiana, a politician institution, not economic one. Maybe, his politican activities involving in Vietnam help him to get a promotion.
Besides, he sets up a facebook group "U.S. and worldwide network of Vietnam economists", and requires that only those who has strong interest in economics can be members, though many members of this group graduated from public policy or even journalism school.
Many Vietnam economists hate him, denying to joint ISVE, but cannot stop this pig’s activities and afraid of his close relationship with Le Van Cuong, a big name in Vietnam's economics field.
