It's the useful/applicable form of economics without the random sh*t. Anyone feels the same?

This is my JMP. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My JMP is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My JMP, without me, is useless. Without my JMP, I am useless. I must fire my JMP true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill my identification. I must shoot him before he shoots my main regression. I will...

My JMP and I know that what counts in this job market is not the seminars we attend, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the publication that counts. We will publish...

My JMP is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its identification, its endogeneity, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my JMP clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before God, I swear this creed. My JMP and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my job market.

So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy.

Look up Smith, Noah S. for 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2013 and 2014, he made about 160k. In 2015 he went down to 74k. I think they are keeping him on as an adjunct assistant professor so he can continue to maintain his fancy econ prof title while he tweets and writes opinion articles.

Anyone have a go to short, intelligent sounding, response when people ask if, as an economist, you know how to fix the economy?

I get this question all the time from hairdressers etc, I just shrug and say 'it's complicated' but come across as real lame... Anyone have anything better? Something to close the topic as soon as possible but without looking like a fool or being rude
